The building aims to build the most important entry / exit junction for the city of Tirana, which is frequented by a very high traffic of vehicles of different tonnages. In order to realize the fastest possible circulation of vehicles and not to create long queues of traffic, the facility is built with 5 underground galleries on 3 levels and a junction at the road level controlled by traffic lights.
More specifically, the explanation of the axes that will be built is as follows:
Underground level road axes
Gallery 1 of the road with a length of about 640m, is the axis of the main road which comes from the Fifth Southern Ring and goes towards the Fifth North Ring (with the direction from the overpass of the Technological School towards the former Shqiponja Square). This road axis starts at the level of the existing road and passes underground through a structure with U-shaped retaining walls, which after a sufficient reduction in the quota, pass it in a covered gallery with a length of 97.5m.
Gallery 2 of the road with a length of about 650m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming from Durres and going towards the fifth Northern Ring. This road axis starts at the level of the existing road and passes underground through a structure with retaining walls, which after a sufficient reduction in the quota, pass it in a covered gallery with a length of 350.9m.
Gallery 3 of the road with a length of about 565m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming from the fifth southern ring and going to Durres. This road axis starts at the level of the existing road and passes underground through a structure with retaining walls, which after a sufficient reduction in the quota, pass it in a covered gallery with a length of 264.5m.
Gallery 4 of the road with a length of about 460m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming from the Fifth Northern Ring and going towards Durres. This road axis starts at the level of the existing road and passes underground through a structure with retaining walls, which after a sufficient reduction in the quota, pass it in a covered gallery with a length of 191m.
Gallery 5 of the road with a length of about 407m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming from Durres to the fifth Southern Ring. This road axis starts at the level of the existing road and passes underground through a structure with retaining walls, which after a sufficient reduction in the quota, pass it in a covered gallery with a length of 165m.
Road axes existing road level
Axis 7a of the road with a length of about 322m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming from Durres to Tirana Center and axis 7b with a length of about 182m makes the connection of traffic from Tirana Center to Durres. These axes are above ground level and pass at an intersection that is regulated by traffic lights.
Axis 8 of the road with a length of about 365m + 231m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming the Fifth Southern Ring to the Fifth Northern Ring. It is a passage which is above the level of the Earth and goes to the crossroads where the traffic light passage is regulated.
Axis 9 of the road with a length of about 398m + 237m, is the axis which makes possible the connection of road traffic coming the Fifth North Ring to the Fifth Southern Ring. It is a passage which is above the level of the Earth and goes to the crossroads where the traffic light is regulated.
Axis 10 of the road with a length of about 364m, is the axis which makes possible the passage from the intersection to the level of the road to Durres.
Axis 11 of the road with a length of about 193m, is the axis which makes possible the passage from the intersection to the level of the road to the center of Tirana
The central axis of the road, is the axis which makes possible the passage at the intersection at the level of the road
The whole work is illuminated and systematized with the necessary horizontal and vertical signage in accordance with the standards in force.
